The knowledge base drives every case. It answers two questions per online service: what does this provider allow after a death? and what are the exact steps to get there?

Vocabulary

Status

Providers and playbooks are Draft, Published or Archived. A case only copies published playbooks of published providers. Everything loaded from the starter set and everything a model drafts starts as draft and unverified.

The three rules

  1. Cases copy playbooks when they start. Improve a playbook and the next case benefits; the live case keeps the steps it started with.
  2. Models draft; people publish. AI research fills empty fields and saves draft playbooks on its own, but never publishes and never overwrites what a person wrote.
  3. Nothing is trusted until verified. Read each entry against its sources and mark it verified before the first real case uses it.

Getting a base to work from

On an empty knowledge base an admin sees Load starter knowledge base on the Providers screen: seventeen providers (Facebook, Instagram, Google, Apple, Microsoft, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Netflix, Spotify, Amazon, PayPal, Dropbox, Yahoo, Trade Me, Steam) with twenty-three playbooks and three default automation rules that hold every email, webhook and API step for approval. All of it loads unverified.
