Sign-up is closed, so the client app’s sign-up screen offers a waitlist. Waitlist shows that list, read live from Clerk each time you open it, and lets operators act on it without signing in to the Clerk dashboard.

Entries

The list opens on the people still Waiting. Change the filter to see the Invited, Signed up and Rejected ones, or search by email. Each row shows when they joined and, once invited, the state of their invitation.
  • Invite asks Clerk to send the person its invitation email. The entry moves to Invited; when they create their account through the link it becomes Signed up.
  • Reject closes the entry. The person is not told and can join again.
  • Add someone puts an email address on the list by hand, optionally with Clerk’s “you are on the waitlist” email.
Every action is written to the audit log. Nothing about the waitlist is copied into the back office’s own tables; Clerk holds the list and the back office reads it.

Invitations

The second tab lists the invitations themselves, pending ones first. Revoke stops the link in a pending invitation from working; the person stays on the waitlist and can be invited again. An expired invitation can also be replaced by inviting from the waitlist. A lead’s page shows the same information for that one address under Sign-up, with an invite button that adds them to the waitlist and invites them in one step. See Leads.

Requirements

The Convex deployment needs CLERK_SECRET_KEY, the same key the sign-in already uses. If Clerk cannot be reached or refuses a request, the page shows Clerk’s message where the table would be, with a button to try again.
